Bihar politics witnessed a fresh round of confrontation on Sunday after Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary’s comments linking AI surveillance cameras with “people wearing green scarves” drew strong criticism from RJD leaders Tejashwi Yadav and Rohini Acharya.

Reacting sharply to the statement, Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav said, “Whether it is a green scarf or a blue scarf, such remarks do not suit a person holding the position of Chief Minister.”

He said such statements reflect the mentality of the government and reveal the level of hatred among those in power.

The RJD leader alleged that attempts were being made in Bihar to divide people on the basis of caste, colour, and identity. However, he said, the people of Bihar now understand everything and will give a fitting response in the coming days.

Tejashwi further said that the people of the state want answers on issues such as development, employment, and inflation, but the government is busy diverting attention from the real issues.

Speaking at the Bihar AI Summit in Patna on Saturday, the Chief Minister took a dig at the RJD and said that around 4,000 AI cameras had been installed in Patna.

“If AI is asked to identify people wearing green scarves (commonly used by RJD leaders and workers) imagine what would happen. It would immediately identify all those wearing green scarves,” he said with a smile.

However, he immediately clarified that he was not referring to anyone in particular.

A sharp reaction also came from Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya. She shared a long list of questions related to Samrat Choudhary under the heading, “Ask AI… AI can tell all this too…”

“Who is accused in the Tarapur massacre and was jailed in connection with the massacre? Who submitted fake degree certificates and fake age certificates? Who has not one but four different names?” she asked.

She also referred to Chief Minister’s father Shakuni Choudhary, asking, “Whose father is said to have been a deserter from the army? Whose father had said that he would bury the Prime Minister of the country alive in the ground?”
